I am a software engineer with a background in public health and program management. I have a strong track record in non-profit operations, project management, and problem solving. Spent 500+ hours learning the core skills to build full-stack web applications on the job: computer science fundamentals, collaboration tools, and the programming languages used by modern applications. Applied essential object-oriented programming concepts, and leveraged JavaScript libraries like React. Incorporated functionality from third-party APIs. Received a hands-on practice of effective communication and collaboration with web development teams in carrying out projects from concept to completion. Practiced version control with Git and GitHub while executing software engineering projects in an Agile development workflow.

Portfolio

During my Fellowship at the General Assembly, I developed a number of applications that displayed my skills in various languages. I played with styling frameworks like BootStrap, explored D3.js for map visualization, and fully delved into HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript - and its many libraries, ranging from jQuery to React. I was introduced to the frustrating yet wonderful world of application deployment through platforms like Github, Heroku, and Netlify. See the results below!
